You are hilarious. best thign to happen to BEA. And sorry I couldn't get you Matt Shapre for Staurday. (I actually tried three other autors too, and couldn't snag anyone, mea culpa...)
It was my first BEA and i loved it! Absolutely had a ball...though very hot, and melty as you say...the traffic was great at the AA Hall Exhibit, and so i accomplished what i sought to do...can't wait till next year, but my feet surely can!
Congratulations to the whole BEA team for a great show!!!
On saturday, i never saw a women's restroom wait shorter than 8 people, usually 10-12. and on friday it was always closer to 20 -- did you count the people waiting INSIDE, not just the line outside?
Great summary with your usual flair...It was great meeting you at the Lit Insiders. Look forward to the podcast uploads and future encounters of the literary kind. See you in my stomping grounds out here in California!
This is great! Here are a few additions of our own:
*Number of steps to uncrowded women's bathroom: 2,000
*Benefit of extra long trip to women's bathroom on sore feet with blistering and bleeding heel: Saying hi to Walter Moseley
*Additional benefit of bathroom trek: walking through the only truly air conditioned section of Javitz
*Number of pounds sweated off: 5+
*Number of times did not feel or look sweaty at BEA: 0
I'd love to take credit for this but it was actually written by our COO, Paula Krapf of Author Marketing Experts, Inc!
