NYCC Fans Your Badges Are Coming!
Here are the happy little NY ComicCon Elves that spent hours this week stuffing thousands of envelopes with thousands and thousands of badges, just for you! Some fans will even get a special message written on them. I think I thanked some lucky fan for the paper cut. We'll sort em and mail em early next week so keep an eye on your mailbox because they are coming! Not pictured here; the beer and pizza that fueled this entire operation.
An insider tip - You can still get your badge mailed to you so you don't have to stand in line and buy it one site. Just go here to buy your badge, and then select the DHL option. It costs 8 bucks, but you'll have your ticket in hand in about two weeks instead of waiting in line to buy it on site. Don't forget, you can also go to any one of a few dozen of the coolest comics retailers in the world and buy your tickets. Look here for a full list of our retail ticket outlets.
Last but not least, a big thanks to all of the people here at NYCC HQ that pitched in and helped out. Really, a lot of people put in a lot of hours to build this con for you and not all of it is as glamorous as sitting in a room for 8 or 9 hours stuffing badges and letters into envelopes!

Can't wait for mine; I ordered it on Valentine's week, and am so looking forward to my first NYCC. Thanks to all the volunteers who *already* have logged a lot of hours into making this year's event great.
I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our society, and I am fairly certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of uploading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about every once in a while.
