The Lowdown on Autographings.....

I'm getting lots and lots of questions on autographings, so please pay attention class, this will be on your test and it won't be an open book affair either......

The Con organizes some autographings, those are located at the back of the hall under the big sign that says autographing. Logical eh? However, tons of signings happen in booths all day long. We can only report those to you if somebody tells us! Check out the full schedule of signings here that we currently have scheduled or have been told about. The list will change often so look at it often. For example we just got Alex Ross on the list Thursday, so come get something signed by him on Saturday from 1-4. Bu you''ll need a ticket! How do you get one? Read on.......

Ticketed Signings - We'll give out tickets on a first come first served basis at 3pm on Friday (this is wrong on the web site at this second, so believe me, not the site) and 10am Saturday and Sunday from the Variant Stage at the back of the con. Each fan can get 1 ticket for EACH signing. We'll set aside a portion of tickets for pro's and exhibitors (they are fans too after all) and the rest will be for fans. Here is a map of the show floor, so you know where you're going.

If the person you are looking for is not listed as doing a signing on the site it's because either they are not signing or no one has told us yet!

Here ends today's lesson on New York ComicCon 301.

Okay, prof-- comic con newbie here. I'm sorry if this is self-explanatory, but I want to be clear. Tickets for autographing sessions are available first thing, the day of their sessions... right? As in tickets for Alex Ross's Saturday signing are available Saturday morning. Not the whole weekend's worth all in one shot. And when I say first thing, I mean public hours for each day. (ie. 3 pm on Friday)

Do I have that down? Or do I still need to study?

Sorry to be lame about it, but I would hate to miss out b/c of an assumption. Thanks!

That is what they have done in the past two years. I hope that this is the same thing they are going to do this year. I won't be to happy if I wait in line Saturday for the Eva and Miller tickets. To only find out when I get up there for them only to be told that they gave them out on Friday.

aristeia, you are a star pupil, you are 100% correct. Each day we will give out tickets for that day.....

Congrats, you have passed NYCC 301!

Does purchasing a VIP weekend ticket guarantee you any tickets for the signings? I know last year one of the packages allowed you to choose 1 signing per day of the con.

Are the tickets numbered? For example, if you get the first ticket are you guaranteed the first autograph? Or do you still have to line up early a second time to be one of the first?

As far as the Hellboy Signing by Dark Horse goes, do we go to their booth to get a ticket for that?

I don't see Grant Morrison anywhere except the signing at the Ultimate Experience...will free tix also be given to get signatures from him...or is he just signing for the Ultimate Experience?

Will free tix be given out for Frank Miller, Joe Kubert, or Stan Lee....I don't see their names in the signings and there are not Ultimate Experience pkgs with these creators....

Yes, Stan will be doing a signing and is listed on the web site. Grant will most likely do an in booth signing, as I sdaid we don;t have all of htose details from the publishers just yet.....

For Dark Horse signings, yes go to the Dark Horse Booth.

Are tickets going to be numbered, no I don't think that they are.

VIP passes do not get you any signings.

Whew, I think I asnwered all of the questions in one post!
