The Calm Before The Storm

I finally made it to the show today and everything is looking good - the banners and signs are hanging, freight is beginning to be unpacked and that eerie calm before 30,000 people invade is in full effect......

The building looks great, and while much is made about the distance between the South and the West Hall, it's not awful. In fact, read carefully, there is a nice shortcut you can take that shaves off like 30% of the walk. When you walk out of the South Hall, take an immediate left and go outside, from there its a short hike and you'll go back inside the building right near the entrance to the West Hall.

Try it, you'll like it.

Also, check out a post from my good friend Karl Pohrt from his blog There Is No Gap. It's titled, Why I love BEA. I can't argue with the genius of Shaman Drum Bookshop.....
