A Little Green Room Chatter - Friedman

Tom Friedman delayed a trip to Israel to receive an honorary doctorate to speak at BEA. That's just the kind of guy he is, but what else would you expect from a Minnesota boy? Yup, Friedman hails from St. Louis Park, MN about 20 miles from where I grew up and a point I mentioned during my introduction for him (and a Twins update - they had beat the hated Yankees).

St. Louis Park also boasts The Coen Brothers and Al Franken - but they weren't at BEA this year, however the last time we were in L.A. was the infamous Al Franken - O'Reilly dust up. Perhaps every BEA in L.A. we'll feature another author from St. Louis Park.
