A Secret Lego Vault & A Practical Application for Legos

I'm drooling like homer does when he thinks about doughnuts after watching the Gizmodo vid about the secret Lego vault (see my previous post ). The link from my first post kind of sucks (I used the "auto blog" feature from Digg, and not very well apparently as the vid did not show up) so just try going here - Secret Lego Vault. It's amazing.

More amazing still? When I look at the still photos from the Gizmodo post, I have most of the kits (including the one pictured here. In fact this may be the first "space" kit I remember getting)

I decided to build a kayak holder this weekend and I can't really draw out plans in 3D (let's be honest, I was really proud of myself for attempting plans at all) so instead I built my proposed kayak holder out of Lego's and used that as my model. Not too shabby for the book and comic geek eh?

PS - I realized after cutting all of the wood that I didn't have any nails.

PPS - That didn't stop me from still building it.

PPPS - Friendly advice, don't ever use my kayak rack, you'll regret it.
