The New York Anime Festival starts September 26, but we've got something special for New Yorkers who want to get the party started a little earlier -- the NYAF Charity Pre-Party!

The New York Anime Festival has teamed up with AnimEigo, FUNimation, ITO EN, Planet Hollywood, TOKYOPOP, and VIZ Media for a special night benefiting the UN-recognized charity Orphans International Worldwide ( on Saturday, September 20 at China 1 (50 Avenue B, Between 3rd & 4th St) from 6 to 8 PM. All proceeds from the night will go to Orphans International Worldwide.

Tickets are priced at $25 and include food, drinks, and a raffle ticket for prizes donated by the sponsors. Special gift bags will also be given to the first 100 who register online.
