Torchwood Comes to NYCC

Time Lords and Time Ladies, I'm very pleased to announce BBC America is coming to New York Comic Con with a sneak peek of the highly anticipated third season of Torchwood -- Torchwood: Children of Earth -- with a panel session featuring actress Eve Myles and director Euros Lyn.

On Saturday, February 7 at 4:15 PM in Room 1A08-12, Myles and Lyn make their first US panel appearance. Myles plays police officer turned alien fighter Gwen Cooper and Lyn is the director of the entire third season of Torchwood. He’s previously directed Doctor Who and will direct David Tennant’s final two episodes as the current Doctor.

Myles and Lyn will then conduct an autographing at 6 PM in the Autograph Area of our Exhibition Hall.

I'm a huge Who fan, and if you are, too, make sure you're at the Torchwood panel, as I'd love to bring more of the Whoniverse to the next NYCC.

Will this be a ticketed event for the signing?

Breaking news; Slashfilm, com is reporting that production on Astro Boy has shut down (temporarily for now) due to cash flow issues, among other stuff. If you click my name on the post, it'll direct you to the story by Andrew Connolly that may jeopardize the world premiere screening of footage on 2/8 at the IGN Theater.

Peter,

Jumps up and down with joy. I have been a Dr. Who fan since it the days of the Classic shows, and I go out to Gallifrey in Los Angles http://www.gallifreyone.com/gallifrey.php for loads of Dr. Who and Torchwood goodness. I'm all for having more Dr. Who related programming at NYCC! I still will continue to head out to LA since Gallifrey ROCKS, but if NYCC gets to the point of having enough Dr. Who related programming, maybe I will not have to fly all the way to LA (or to Chicago for Chicago Tardis).

This so so great. I have already met John Barrowman, Naoko Mori, Gareth David-Lloyd. I can't wait to meet Eve.
I will be there at the panel and the autographing session. I hope it isn't ticketed.
This should be an highlight of this con.
Can't wait and many thanks in advance.

Yessss!!!!!!! Eve Myles and Colin Baker atNYCC!! Fantastic! Great way to get the BBC and The Whoniverse to us east coasters. Now, for next year, let's aim higher. John Barrowman, Christopher Eccleston, Julian Bleach, Elizabeth Sladen anyone? As David Tennant would put so well, "Oh Yes!"
