Watchmen, Terminator Salvation, and Friday the 13th!

Hey, didn't I promise a movie update? How's this? Warner Bros. is coming to NYCC with three of their biggest flicks of 2009. First up, Watchmen. Based on one of the world’s most celebrated graphic novels, Watchmen is the film fans have been waiting for for decades, and you’ll be getting the latest scoop from Dave Gibbons, the original artist behind the Watchmen graphic novel. Second, Terminator Salvation. Director McG will be at NYCC discussing what it was like taking on the Terminator saga and where he plans to take the future. Third, Friday the 13th. Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, and Derek Mears will all be at NYCC speaking about their roles in this update of an American classic.

It all goes down at 11 AM on Saturday in the IGN Theater.

If we've signings, we'll let you know. As of know, it's Dave with Watchmen, McG for Terminator, and the cast of Friday the 13th on the panel but not signing.

Does this mean Dave Gibbons will not be doing ANY signing during the weekend? AS a Featured Artist I assumed he would be available during the Con.

Dave will be doing signings and more events through the con, including another Watchmen panel on Sunday. Check out the Titan booth on the floor for more info on Dave's signings. McG and the Friday cast, though, will only be doing the panel.

I've heard the Friday the 13th panel would be doing autographs now, is this true?

Also.. there will be a Black Curtain screening for the movie at 7pm?

Just want to verify.

Peter or Lance,

Looks like the Astro Boy preview is now with the rest of the Summit Entertainment presentation; it had been by itself. You can't tell us yet what film and TV panels are still out there waiting to be finalized. But can you tell us *how many* panels are left to be announced? And when will the cutoff date be for you guys saying 'this is our locked-in lineup' next week? A week from today? Next Thursday, even?

Thanks. :)

Just wondering...Jared Padalecki is definitely going to be at NYCC? I ask because I've read Kim Manners (one of the directors on Supernatural who passed away early this week) memorial is 2/7 and with the F13 panel being that day...

Just wanted to get confirmation and pass it onto other fans.

Can we please get some information on this? I'm sure if the service is on the 7th, Jared will go to it.

Updates, please.

Any chance Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be at NYCC??

How does one go about getting into this panel? Just be at the con when the doors open and make your way down to the theater and wait in line? Do you need an additional ticket to attend this? I know this is probably a newbie question, but I am new to NYCC and definitely wanted to get into this.

Thanks
