A Little Con-Keeping
A few things have come up that I want to cover here, briefly.
Twitter – I will be tweeting during the con, not a ton, but I’ll tweet some prizes and flash mobs when I see something cool, I’ll also tweet out any last minute schedule changes and the like. So if you haven’t already, sign up to follow NY_COMIC_CON on Twitter and enable your mobile so you’ll get tweets from me during the con.
Don’t Freeze – I got it confirmed today that we’ll have a queuing hall for Friday in addition to Saturday & Sunday (we pushed another show out sooner so you can line up inside in a nice hall on Friday). This is a good thing. I’ve also been asked about when the building will open on Saturday & Sunday. The plan is to open the doors around 7am. I say “around” because we rely on Javits security and public safety to be in place on time so we can open the building on time – this does not always happen, but I’ll be there pushing them! We’ll distribute the first come first serve autographing tickets before the doors open, so I’m thinking 645ish for the tickets.
Friday Autographing Tickets – I don’t think we had a time on the site, but we’ll be handing out autographing tickets on Friday at 11am in the queuing hall to those first in line.
OK, that’s the stuff that was on my mind that I wanted to share with you tonight. I’m heading down to the Javits Center tomorrow and will be there through the weekend, so emailing me might get a slightly slower response (if at all, who are we kidding!) but I do a pretty good job of keeping up with things.
Wanna know something really crazy? The very big boss of Reed is going to come to the con for the first time ever on Friday. I mean the guy that runs the whole thing – offices in 40 countries, 400 events around the globe, the big guy. Please promise me that you’ll all make me look good on Friday, ok?

It would be really cool with twitter, if you set up spots for those of us using the phone service for special prizes. Such as you have a certain amount of an item and to meet at a certain location to pick it up for the first however many people.
So to be clear:
Friday Autograph tickets -- 11am in queuing line
Sat/Sun Autograph tickets -- 6:45am outside

Do the Friday First Come First Serve Autograph tickets being handed out at 11AM cover autographs for Friday only or the whole weekend?
Lvakon, yes, you've got it right. And the tickets being handed out each day only cover that day, hence why we hand them out all 3 days.
What about autograph tickets for the folks with VIP tickets; how does that work?

So "Mr. Reed" is gonna show up... that reminds me of the episode of M*A*S*H where General MacArthur is scheduled to tour the camp, and Klinger dresses up as the Statue of Liberty.
We'll be on our best behavior, Mr. Fensterman, sir. No marshmallow bazookas, no jello in the toilets, no fake window clings. At least on Friday.
This finally gives me a reason to try Twitter on my phone. Good luck with the meeting with the President of Reed on Friday. I hope he enjoys the show.
Lance, If you need a little extra Twitter help let me know. I will be there both Saturday and Sunday all day and will make a few random updates, but could make more.
So the autograph tickets will be at 6:45ish. Exactly how big of a crowd are you expecting, because I plan to arrive at the Javitz Center at least 2 1/2 hours prior to that.
Peter, I see you are going to be there by 4 am, are you taking the train in or are you driving in to the city that early?
