The Saturday Author Breakfast.....
I'll be honest, I thought the attendance at the author breakfasts and lunches might dip due to the economy. Its an easy place to save some bucks if you're attending BookExpo, but yesterdays Children's Author Breakfast and today's are both packed. I'm so thrilled.....
Craig Ferguson just wrapped up his intro and he was brilliant. In reference to the other panelists literary chops he said, "We'll get some real authors out here in a moment. I'm just a guy with a pushy editor, a powerful publishing house and a TV show."
He was awesome......

Oh I wish I could agree. He seemed terribly uncomfortable, and he said virtually nothing about his book.
Ken Auletta also hosted, at the Lunch Panel, and he spoke extensively about his new book.
Being so familiar with Craig Ferguson's enormous intelligence and wit, I'm sorry the Breakfast guests didn't get to see that side of him.
I wish I could agree as well. I don't think he was awake yet and even on his show it takes Craig awhile to warm up. Last year's in LA was much better with Alex Baldwin. I still love Craig but not for a breakfast - rest of authors were fine. I wish if no book provided for an author they as least did a PR sheet so one can jot down notes and have something to remember things to refer back to later.
