The Last Week of The Year: Part 1

So, it's the last week of 2009. A pretty slow news week, but I'm still in the office. Just had a nifty call about NYCC I can't talk about in any detail, but it got my geek sense tingling. Anything else getting my geek sense tingling? Only the final David Tennant Doctor Who two-parter going on at BBC America. Did ya see part one last week? Fans have been pretty vocally divided on the episode, some loving it absolutely and some hating it just as fervently.

While I would have liked to see a somber, introspective episode about The Doctor's past, his transgressions, and how it's all catching up to him, that would have probably been a wee bit to talky for Tennant's exit. Instead, The End of Time: Part 1 was a balls out, crazy as they come, over the top adventure. Striking, silly, swashbuckling, and staggering, it was insane in all the good ways, and it looks like The End of Time: Part 2 will only jump off the deep end more...
