Yawn...... I have to say, I am quite disapointed by the past two week's list. This show is less than two month's away and we are still waiting for the big announcement that makes puts this show in the "must attend" category. The same time period before the New York Show and there were MAJOR announcements. People like Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, George Perez, the cast of Fringe, etc. Here for the past two weeks I am getting independent writers and artists (I am certainly not knocking their ability and creative influence on their respective fields, but I just feel like this show is missing the "IT" factor that the New York show has had success with. I am at the point where I need to make a decision to travel half-way thru the country to attend this show and right now, this B+ event is not cutting it.....

Hey bruno...i praise you for fighting the good fight, they beat me.....hence why I haven't posted here in awhile. I agree with you on all points as I would have to be traveling from the NY area to attend this.
You seem like a like minded person. If you do end up going we should hang out.

P.S. This show really is weak. Lance and Peter you have seen my email and thoughts on the matter. Just know that you have beaten me, so I give up trying to help you. Nothing personal.

Bruno and Anobraino . . . first year. Giv'em a break.

Give them a break? Are you kidding me? I take it you live in that world where kids shouldn't play games to win. Lance and his crew are the one's who have been selling this as the greatest thing to hit Chicago since sliced bread. Go and take a look at the lineup of the Wizard World Chicago show in 2005 and honestly tell me that this one lives up to that one. And getting an auction to sell Iron Man props is a nice idea but again not what pushes this show over the top.

Short Answer...NO.

ZThis is not their first year....check your facts. New location, but all Reed does is run conventions.

P.S. Who the Fuck is Anobraino?????

Look out boardies . . . Anobraino bites, he uses potty mouth Oooo... the "F" bomb.

Bruno - you and Anobraino have posttraumatic embitterment disorder - get that looked at.

2005 was a different time.

Look at WIZ now - Scorching the earth with their sleazy carni-shows at a town near you and TBD lists.

Chicago wants a new show. I don't care who does it.

WIZ's half-baked, rotting, Anaheim show is less than seven weeks away and look at all the TBD. They are full of deception.

Is this a joke to get more hits to their website?

Why would a big guest come back to Chicago after WIZ left a nasty skid-mark? It sucked!

Make sure you run to the bank with that WIZ check.

Little anonymous, embittered? Do you even know what the word means, my little friend? For the record, I am FAR from a Wizard World supporter. I have been a fan of what Lance and Reed has put together in NYC and have actually been to all of their shows there since their inception. My issue is that with the track record Lance has in NY I was sincerely hoping that that high quality of guests would spill over to Chicago. I really do not like using that 2005 Wizard World show as a reference point, but they had Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Jeph Loeb, John Cassaday, Ed Brubaker, etc, etc, etc. Maybe the recession is playing into affect. Maybe Marvel and DC are bringing their own crew of creators (which they did do in NY but a list was out), or maybe Chicago just cannot draw the higher quality of professionals like New York can. There is a month and a half for this show to get up to the level it should be as far as I am concerned, and I do have faith in Lance and his crew to pull it off, but time for me and many other people interested around the country to plan on attending is running out.....

D-Day: War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Otter: Germans?

Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...
[thinks hard]...the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!
[runs out, alone; then returns]

Bluto: What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Wormer, he's a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer...

Otter: Dead! Bluto's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Bluto: We're just the guys to do it.

D-Day: Let's do it.

Bluto: *Let’s do it*!
