C2E2 Panel and Screening Schedule Online!
170. What’s that? That’s the number of panels, screenings, and special events taking place at C2E2. We’ve got close to a dozen theaters, conference spaces, stages, and workshop rooms running all three days with some amazing content. Want to hear the latest from Marvel and DC? Check? Want to meet some of Chicago’s comic book hometown heroes? Check. Want to learn, change, and grow with talks from Reading With Pictures, Diamond, the Comics Studies Conference, and ICv2? Check. Want to see some weird, wonderful, and eclectic performances? Check. Want premiere screenings? Check. C2E2’s got them all, and you can delve into all three days of programming right now at C2E2.com.
Note, though, that most of the schedule is now online, but much of our Hollywood and TV programming will be coming out later, and there are a few other events, too, that will be added to this list in the coming weeks.

I'm still holding out to see if anything worthwhile from Hollywood even comes to Chicago.
I got spoiled by that stuff in San Diego in 1995-1998, and always hate how it seems the Hollywood seems to steer far away from Chicago. It's like they are just afraid that they are going to be talking to 4 guys in overalls sitting in a barn full of animals.
If you can help steer away my mental picture that Hollywood sees Chicago as a road-apple to be steered clear of...then I may attend.
Seems like Jim Lee is going to be there according to panel info but he's not listed on the Guest list yet. Nor is Brian Azzarello but he's also in the programming notes...
Hmmm....
Brian beat me to it.
Are we to assume these people will be in attendance all weekend? Was this yet another slip up by the crack C2E2 Staff? Stay tuned fellow reader...if sure this will never be acknowlaged
You know what I love, that they have to back track about some of these pannels, like the Grant Morrison one, where he will not be in attendance. The Lance Briggs one was cute too.... Also, on the Twitter account is says that they will have autograph information up their main site shortly. This was posted about 7PM EST on Wednesday. It is now 4PM EST on Thrusday and not a whisper..... would love to know what their definition of 'shortly' is....
Brian, A-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S, Bruno - Jim will be there. Azz will be there. Sometimes though we don’t know what exactly they will be doing. We ask, we just don’t always get answers. So we KNOW those gents will be on panels, yup, but until we get more details we are loathe to promote. A-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S, Bruno, I'm guessing you would be less than thrilled with us if we promoted a guest heavily only to learn they were doing just one short appearance. As for Grant at NYCC 09 he had a serious situation with a family member which I promised not to discuss, something we were totally understanding over his need to attend to.
Ummm....no one made mention to Grant Morrison haveing to cancel NYCC 09......
I remember that Grant Morrison situation and totally understand that. I also beleive that Mark Millar was at one NYCC convention and only did a panel (no floor scheduling to sign for the masses). I believe that Todd McFarlane did one ticketed signing and possibly a panel and that wat it. We understand that you cannot get these guys to commit to certain things (the divas that they can be), but the information flow is allitle confusing.....
A-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S, Bruno Bruno mentioned Grant. Agreed, info flow can be better. Especially across platforms (blog vs. web vs. Twitter) and we also need to be timely when we say we will release something. All totally, valid points and noted. You are heard gents. On guest availability, we work with shifting schedules for certain and Jim is a great example. However, we strive to not make the mess we deal with your mess to try and understand, sometimes we do better at that than at other times.
For the record, I mentioned the Grant Morrison panel you have at C2E2, for which he will not be in attendance. It was not in reference to his NYCC appearances.
Lance,
All jokeing aside, honestly, how does one such as myself become a member of the C2E2/NYCC Staff?
