Spin On! Gurren Lagann Movies at C2E2

C2E2 -- the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo -- is proud to announce a special back-to-back screening of Aniplex's Gurren Lagann The Movie: Childhood's End and Gurren Lagann The Movie: Part 2 - The Lights in the Sky Are Stars.

Headlining C2E2's manga and anime events will be this rare screening of both Gurren Lagann motion pictures. Based on the 2007 series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann by the acclaimed studio Gainax, the first Gurren Lagann movie was released in Japan in 2008 and second was released in Japan in 2009.

Gurren Lagann The Movie: Childhood's End and Gurren Lagann The Movie: Part 2 - The Lights in the Sky Are Stars will screen at C2E2 beginning at 5:30 PM on Saturday, April 17th. Admission to this screening is included with admission to C2E2. More details about this double feature will be revealed in the coming weeks along C2E2's full manga and anime schedule of events.

Gurren Lagann The Movie has been screened previously at conventions including the 2009 New York Anime Festival. Gurren Lagann The Movie: Part 2 received its US premiere at VIZ Cinema in San Francisco in February. C2E2 will be Gurren Lagann The Movie: Part 2's second showing in the USA.
