HIPIRA Premieres at NYAF!

HIPIRA premieres at NYAF! Awesome! Cool! What's HIPIRA? A brand-new work from the SUNRISE’s Ogikubo Studio -- the state-of-the-art animation studio previously behind Steamboy and Freedom. It gets better. The animation is based on a picture book by Katsuhiro Otomo and Shinji Kimura, and both are part of the main staff bringing the book to life. (Yes, that Otomo.)

The story follows Hipira, little boy who just happens to be a vampire in a town of vampires, and his adventures with his fellow vampire classmates as well as the witches and fairies who call Hipira's town home. It's a cute, cuddly, and just a bit creepy world, and we're proud to debut it as part of our Kids Day on Sunday, October 10 at NYAF!
