IT'S ALIVE!

New York Comic Con and the New York Anime Festival’s panels are live! We’ve got over 300 panels and screening from Marvel, DC, Capcom, Square-Enix, FUNimation, Bandai, Sony, Warner Bros., Lucasfilm, and more. It’s awesome. It’s great. And it’s almost complete. We’ve got a few more IGN additions to be including over the coming days, but right now, dig in and start planning out your schedule. This message is brief. It could be longer. We could talk about everything we’re excited about, but then we’d have 300 panel descriptions below. Instead, go and explore. We’ve got the cast of AMC’s Walking Dead coming to the convention. We’ve got a very special panel with cast from Marvel Studios’ Avengers. We’ve got a lot of big things and a lot of little things, too. Take notes on all the things you know you’re going to love, but also circle some things that may surprise you, like Red Tails and the world premiere of Guilty Crown!

Enough talk. Get clicking...

Oh, we'll be talking more -- much more -- about that Avengers panel very soon.

The Avengers cast at NYCC! So excited!

Is IGN theatre cleared out between panels? I am wondering this because I may only have one day to see NYCC itself including any panels.

Tom, NYCC doesn't clear out between panels. I imagine many people will just sit in the IGN theater, most of the day, just for the Walking Dead and the Avengers.

We don't generally clear rooms in between events. We will, for example, clear the room before something that needs a big changeover -- like before the Masquerade -- but there are no current plans to clear the room before Avengers or Walking Dead.

Will there be more TV and movie panels added as it gets closer? I was hoping for more CW shows like last year had "The Vampire Diaries" and "Nikita" This year seems meek in that department compared to last year.

Marc, yes, there are a handful of panels -- mostly movie and TV -- that are still not included online. The majority of schedule is online, but we've still got a few last things to announce. And, of the online content, we've still got to reveal exactly who is on panels including Avengers and Walking Dead.

I thought Manga Entertainment was supposed to announce something about the release of Redline at the con, but they're neither on the schedule nor the list of dealers. What's up with that?

Cool. Any hints on if there are any CW shows that will be promoted? Also, when you might be announcing the rest of the panels and the guests on the walking dead and avengers panels?
